BCG has been the prime contractor on projects for the Florida Department of Transportation, St. Johns River Water Management District, Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission, and multiple municipalities in North Central Florida.

PROJECT PROFILES
Rapid Infiltration Basin
BCG was awarded a contract from Marion County to refurbish a rapid infiltration basin at a wastewater treatment plant.
- Conduct a survey of the basin to obtain preconstruction elevations and set new grade elevations.
- Remove and properly dispose of 400 cubic yards of existing cover soil.
- Import and grade 400 cubic yards of coarse sand.
Sediment Removal
Through one of our contracts with the Florida Department of Transportation, BCG was tasked with removing sediment from a stormwater conveyance system in order to prevent flooding issues.
- Excavate over 705 cubic yards of sediment using a long stick excavator.
- Remove 133 cubic yards of sediment from concrete box culverts.
- Haul and properly dispose of all excavated sediment.
Parking Lot Refurbishment
BCG was awarded the contract from a municipality to refurbish five separate parking lots to improve stormwater flow, drainage, and improve public access.
- Import 450 cubic yards of base material.
- Compact and grade road base to ensure proper stormwater drainage.
- Construct new stormwater retainage area.

Land Clearing / Vegetation Removal
BCG has performed multiple clearing and vegetation removal projects throughout Florida.
- Cleared over 27 acres along levees in Marion, Lake, and Indian River Counties for St. Johns River Water Management District.
- Cleared 12 miles of levee for the Alachua County Environmental Protection Department.
- Land clearing at a former military base in Miami-Dade County.
Environmental Restoration
BCG was awarded a contract from the St. Johns River Water Management District's to implement an environmental restoration plan.
- Install erosion control.
- Clear access routes.
- Import 2,800 cubic yards of fill dirt.
- Fill 7,700 linear feet of former irrigation ditches and construct stormwater swales.
- Asbuilt survey.
Grading and Site Prep Services
BCG has completed grading and site prep for state agencies, general contractors, and private landowners.
- Completed over eight miles of right of way grading, soil removal, and sod installation.
- Clearing and grading of building pads for general contractors.
- Stormwater system installation including pipe, stormwater ponds, swales, excavations, and grading.

Sediment Basin Excavations
BCG was awarded a contract from the Florida Department of Transportation to remove sediment from four sediment traps in a creek in Gainesville, Florida.
- Control turbidity in creek.
- Control water flow in creeks and divert water from sediment traps.
- Excavate over 2,600 cubic yards of sediment.
Natural Resource and Environmental Projects
BCG has completed multiple projects on state and county owned conservation lands including:

Retention Pond Excavation
BCG was awarded a contract to restore two retention ponds to their original design specifications.
- Excavate accumulated sediment from ponds.
- Restore bottom of ponds to original design elevations.
- Grade berms around ponds.
